Casa Elena, signature cuisine and warm design in La Condesa

Casa Elena, signature cuisine and warm design in La Condesa

Casa Elena is much more than a restaurant: it's a family-run culinary haven that has established itself as one of the most welcoming and memorable spots in the Hipódromo Condesa neighborhood.

Located on Avenida Tamaulipas, Casa Elena was born as a natural extension of Elena 147, the coffee shop that won over palates in the area. Since its opening in December 2024, it has evolved into a space where details are everything: from the pink concrete of its bar to the soft lighting that transforms the place into a warm, intimate, and contemporary haven.

Their menu features standouts like the Gorditos de Nata, an original fusion of hotcakes and traditional gorditas, or the Molletes, made with puff pastry, beans with epazote, Oaxaca cheese, and avocado. For corn lovers, the "Del Comalito" section offers squash blossom quesadillas, dried beef tacos, or avocado tacos with hibiscus flowers, bursting with Mexican flavor.

During lunch and dinner, the ingredients are elevated in creations like the escamoles infladita, the Casa Elena aguachile, or the scarlet salad with beets, heirloom tomatoes, cotija cheese, and pistachios. There are also high-level vegetarian options like the tlayuda del huerto, a modern interpretation of this Oaxacan classic.

The ambiance is complemented by a mocktail menu designed for those seeking non-alcoholic pairings, as well as kombuchas, smoothies, specialty coffees, and their now-famous Elena chocolate with cardamom. On each visit, diners will find a menu designed to reconnect them with a taste for simplicity, quality, and excellence.

Casa Elena is a sensory experience: a combination of vibrant flavors, inviting design, and attention to detail. Ideal for enjoying breakfast with friends, a romantic lunch, or a special dinner that's unpretentious yet full of meaning.
