Celebrity Chef David Chang’s Delivery-Only Chicken Sandwich Arrives in Dallas This Week

Fuku, the fast-casual chain from NYC, will start slinging chicken sandwiches and waffle fries on Tuesday.
The Dallas outpost of Fuku won’t be an actual restaurant, but will instead be a ghost kitchen that will operate in partnership with REEF, a company that connects restaurateurs with local kitchens to “open and quickly expand their delivery businesses,” according to a press release. As such, chicken sandwiches and waffle fries from Fuku will only be available via delivery starting this week.
For those who are unfamiliar with Fuku, the chain got its start with a brick-and-mortar location in New York City’s glitzy Hudson Yards development, and has since expanded via ghost kitchens to cities like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Miami. The Dallas launch of Fuku, which will also debut in Houston on April 6, marks the chain’s first foray into Texas. “Through this delivery-only model, we’re able to introduce Fuku to Dallas and Houston in a safe and controlled way, allowing Fuku fans to enjoy it from the comfort of home,” said Fuku CEO Alex Munoz-Suarez.
The menu is tight, featuring habanero-brined chicken sandwiches slathered in “knockout” sauce, topped with crispy bacon, and served on a pillowy Martin’s potato roll, alongside chicken fingers and waffle fries. There’s also tenders tossed in a sweet-spicy glaze.
Fuku will officially make its Dallas debut on April 6. The chain will sling its sandwiches via all major delivery apps, including Grubhub, DoorDash, and UberEats.
