Stuffed and al pastor burgers at Open House Burgers

Stuffed and al pastor burgers at Open House Burgers

Almost at the end of Milwaukee Street in the Nápoles neighborhood is Open House Burgers, a project with flavor and originality, created by Daniel Aguilera, who left his office job to cook very special hamburgers in Mexico City.

The entrance to this restaurant stands out with a black wall and yellow and white lettering that reads Open House Burgers, this space where the idea is to enjoy a good burger.

Here, hamburgers are prepared with a specific goal: to satisfy your craving, to be well served and accompanied by french fries, sweet potato french fries or salad.

Here's a great tip for when you visit this place: order the slider burgers so you can try more than one. They're all served in a regular size (150g) but you can also order the slider version (75g). They're made with house-made beef, fresh vegetables, sourdough bread (from Pancracia), and a variety of cheeses.

The must-try dishes at Open House Burgers

Among the must-tries is the Western, winner of Burgermaster Mx 2019, made with onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce, American cheese, and beef. A must-try at Open House Burgers. If you love the classics, you can't miss the Ohana, which features glazed pineapple, pork leg, Oaxaca cheese, and beef. A house specialty.

German Burger: A creation that combines beef, beef sausage, and Gouda cheese. With the cheese melted inside the patty, each bite is an explosion of smoky and juicy flavor that will transport you straight to the heart of German cuisine.

French Burger: This burger is an ode to French refinement, featuring beef, Gruyère cheese, and glazed bacon. The magic happens inside the patty, where the Gruyère cheese melts alongside the bacon, creating a combination that delights the palate with every bite.

Chilango Burger: Inspired by the vibrant life of Mexico City, the Chilango is filled with al pastor meat and Oaxaca cheese. The result is an explosion of flavors, where the al pastor and cheese merge to offer a unique and delicious experience.

For those who prefer other types of meat, any burger can be made with breaded chicken flakes.

They're good without meat too.

And if meat isn't your thing, you can substitute it with breaded portobello strips or a whole roasted portobello mushroom.

We also recommend that you try the different bowls that Open House Burger has, such as the one with chicken strips, onion rings, french fries, sweet potato french fries and breaded portobello mushroom with corn flakes, accompanied by homemade sauce: BBQ, Mayohabanero, Honey Chipotle, Chimichurri, Macha and Italian Sauce.

Craft beer and wine cocktails

To accompany a good burger, you can't go wrong with a nice cold beer; at Open House Burgers they have micheladas and excellent craft options (we recommend the one from Obni Brewery), but without a doubt, the star is the tinto de verano, a special recipe you won't find anywhere else. They also have agua fresca of the day, and each month you can enjoy a seasonal milkshake.

Plus, every Wednesday there's a 2-for-1 promotion on sliders, so don't hesitate to come with your partner, friends, or family.
