Unbaked pudding slices

Unbaked pudding slices

Simple no-bake custard slices made with BeBe cookies and a soft vanilla cream are a favorite homemade classic. After resting, they soften beautifully, combining flavors and creating a light dessert that you can easily vary with jam, frosting or a creamy layer.

Ingredients · Servings For 1 baking sheet 30x25cm
  • 30 pcs cookies
  • 750ml milk
  • 250g butter
  • 110 g caster sugar
  • 130 g plain wheat flour
  • 17 g vanilla sugar
  • 30 g powdered sugar
Method · 4 h 27 min
  1. Line a 30 x 25 cm baking tray with baking paper or aluminium foil. Place half of the biscuits close together.
  2. Thoroughly whisk half of the milk with the flour and eggs.
  3. Boil the rest of the milk with the butter and dissolve the semolina and vanilla sugar in the milk and butter mixture. While stirring constantly, pour the flour and egg mixture into the boiling milk in a thin stream. Stir until the mixture thickens and the flour is cooked. Pour the hot pudding over the biscuits.
  4. Place another layer of biscuits on top of the pudding. Let the finished cake cool in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Serve the unbaked slices cut into pieces and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Always cut them after the pudding has completely set.
