Copa-Cogeca focuses its annual meeting on the future of European wine in light of the upcoming CAP

Copa-Cogeca will hold its annual harvest meeting in Brussels on November 12th, an event focused on the state of wine in the European Union and the future Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The session is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and will combine in-person attendance with online participation.

The organization has positioned this edition under the theme “A New Vintage for Europe: The Wine Sector and the Future CAP.” The event will take place at its headquarters at Rue de Trèves 61, in the Belgian capital, while the venue for the subsequent wine-focused discussion is still pending confirmation.

Copa-Cogeca holds this forum annually to address the most current issues in European wine. This year, the aim is to assess the sector's evolution and open a debate on its immediate future. The reference to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) focuses on one of the most important issues for European agriculture, as this policy establishes part of the framework of aid and regulations affecting crops such as vineyards.

The hybrid format aims to facilitate attendance for both industry representatives and professionals unable to travel to Brussels. The organizers have also arranged for interpretation in seven languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and Romanian.

Following the main session, Copa-Cogeca will host a social gathering focused on wine. This second event will provide an opportunity for attendees to continue their conversations, although the venue has not yet been announced.
