The adjustment was most noticeable in bottled wines, a category that includes sparkling wines, bottled wines, and wine in bulk (BiB). In bulk, Spain's presence was smaller. Spain sold €0.82 million worth of oil to the United States in the first half of 2026, and 0.79 million liters, figures that placed it in eighth position in both cases.
By country, France was the main supplier of wine to the United States by value, with 955.4 million euros, 25.3% less than in the first half of 2025. Italy came in second with 790.5 million euros, after a drop of 25.0%.
