A new Cork restaurant is opening in November

On the lookout for a new job?

A new city restaurant is getting ready to open its doors in Cork this November – and it’s looking for a team to help get things up and running.

Birdsong, the sister restaurant to The Glass Curtain, is set to open in mid-November and is currently recruiting for a range of full- and part-time positions.

Owner Brian Murray has taken over the former Chambers premises on Washington Street for the new venture, and a major refurbishment of the interior is underway.

The restaurant is looking for people at all levels across front and back of house, with the team being built from the ground up ahead of opening.

Birdsong is set to be a more casual venture than its sister restaurant on MacCurtain Street, with a focus on great cocktails, prime seasonal produce cooked on the grill and warm hospitality.

The team behind the restaurant says they’re looking for people who are excited about being involved from the very beginning, love good food and want to take pride in what they put on the table.

And there are a few perks thrown in too, including competitive pay, staff parties, staff meals and generous staff discounts.

The aim is to build a passionate team that can grow alongside the new restaurant as it finds its feet.
