The Rioja Route Launches In London This October
A month-long celebration of Rioja across the capital’s leading Spanish restaurants*.
This October, London’s wine lovers are invited to explore The Rioja Route, a month-long dining experience celebrating Rioja across some of the capital’s most exciting Spanish restaurants.
Launching as part of Rioja Wine Month, the nationwide celebration of Rioja wines, the campaign brings together leading London venues offering Rioja by the glass, food and wine pairings, wine flights and exclusive tasting events throughout October.
From Michelin-starred restaurants and expert-led tastings to paired menus and intimate dinners, The Rioja Route showcases Rioja’s remarkable diversity, from vibrant whites and rosés to elegant reds and complex, age-worthy wines.
Arros QD, Fitzrovia Quique Dacosta’s acclaimed restaurant will run a rotating “Dish of the Week” series paired with Rioja wines, alongside an exclusive tasting at ARRIBA on 23 October featuring guided tastings and food pairings. Restaurant bookings | Rioja tasting, 23 October.
Camino Across its four London locations, Camino will offer a six-wine Rioja flight spanning sparkling, white, rosé and red styles, paired with seasonal dishes. A special “Taste of Rioja” evening takes place at Camino King’s Cross on 9 October. Restaurant bookings | Taste of Rioja, 9 October.
El Pirata, Mayfair The long-standing Spanish restaurant will offer a Rioja-paired menu throughout October, plus a 14 October tasting featuring ten wines across different producers, styles and ageing categories, accompanied by Spanish canapés and expert guidance. Maresco, Soho Maresco will serve a weekly series of regional dishes paired with guest Rioja wines throughout October, followed by an exclusive Rioja dinner featuring a bespoke pairing menu. Details to be announced. Restaurant bookings.
Sabor, Mayfair Sabor’s El Asador will showcase Rioja through a series of wine pairings, from oak-aged whites with Tortilla Gallega to complex reds with its signature Segovian suckling pig.
