Dishoom is opening its 8th London restaurant this October

Whether you’re a born-and-bred London resident or a tourist visiting for the first time, there are two dining institutions that are synonymous with the city. One is a market: the famed Borough Market, which has been named the best food market in the world.

And it’s good news for local foodies and tourists alike, because Dishoom is making it even easier for people to chow down on their black daal and bacon naan rolls. That’s because they’re opening a brand new location this October, directly opposite Borough Market. So now foodies hardly even need to travel at all to try some of the city’s best food.

Dishoom Borough

The new site comes hot on the heels of the restaurant group’s latest opening in Leeds. It will be their 18th venue in the country, including their Permit Rooms in the likes of Brighton, Cambridge, Liverpool, and more.

For their new London restaurant, Dishoom is taking over part of the Hop Exchange. The restaurant will be spread over two floors and will also include a covered verandah area. Needless to say, there will be plenty of room for hungry guests – hopefully keeping the queuing times down to a minimum!

The menu is always evolving at Dishoom, with the team frequently travelling to Bombay in search of inspiration. As such, we’re sure there will be some special new additions to the menu to mark the opening of the new site. Perhaps they might even have a special Borough Market-inspired offering? Only time will tell.
