Strawberry Matcha Latte, heavenly delicious!
Ingredients · Servings 2
- 175 g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tsp rice syrup (alternatively: agave syrup or honey)
- 100 ml water
- 2 TL Matchapulver
- ice cubes
- 300 ml milk (alternatively: plant-based milk)
- z. B. Haferdrink)
Method · 10 min
- Wash and dry fresh strawberries, then remove the stems. If using frozen strawberries, thaw them first. Blend the strawberries and rice syrup in a blender or place them in a tall container and purée with an immersion blender until smooth. If desired, strain the purée through a sieve to remove the seeds. Spoon the purée into glasses.
- Heat water to approximately 80 degrees Celsius (do not use boiling water). Then, place the water and matcha powder in a small bowl and vigorously mix with a milk frother or whisk with a matcha whisk until well blended. A light layer of foam should form.
- Add a few ice cubes to the strawberry layer in a glass. Carefully pour in the milk or plant-based milk. Finally, slowly pour in the matcha tea. Stir before drinking. Enjoy!
My delicious Strawberry Matcha Latte recipe is the perfect refreshment for warm days, tastes like in a café!
You will need: a small kitchen knife, a blender or tall container and immersion blender, a sieve (optional), one large glass per serving, a small bowl, a milk frother (optional), and a matcha whisk (optional).
When I fancy a change, I simply replace the strawberry puree with mango puree and use coconut milk instead of regular milk. The result: a tropically fresh mango matcha latte.
