- 1 (2 to 8 pound) turkey breast (preferrably bone-in)
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place 1 (2 to 8 pound) turkey breast in a roasting dish or a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon thyme, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon white pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- Use a fork to mash 4 tablespoons salted butter (softened) and 2 tablespoons olive oil together with the seasoning blend until well combined.
- Use your fingers to loosen the skin of the turkey. Place half of the butter mixture beneath the skin and spread the remaining half over the turkey to coat.
- Roast in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes per pound, until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Measure the temperature in the center of the thickest part of the breast. Actual cooking time will depend on the size of your turkey breast. Boneless turkey breasts will cook faster. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let rest for 15 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Then slice and serve.
