Marlenka in 15 minutes: this honey and caramel miracle is prepared without baking

Marlenka's little balls are no-bake and only take 15 minutes to assemble. They're the perfect dessert to treat guests, a festive treat, or simply when you're craving something truly delicious and creamy with your coffee. Plus, the whole family, even the pickiest eaters, will love them.

Marlenka's little balls are no-bake and only take 15 minutes to assemble. They're the perfect dessert to treat guests, a festive treat, or simply when you're craving something truly delicious and creamy with your coffee. Plus, the whole family, even the pickiest eaters, will love them.

The caramel cream is the soul of the dessert.

For the recipe, first finely chop the honey cookies. You can use a food processor, but if you don't have one, you can also crush them in a heavy-duty bag with a rolling pin. Carefully melt the caramel over steamed milk and then add the butter. When the base is smooth and homogeneous, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of mascarpone cheese and 2 tablespoons of honey. It doesn't need to boil over high heat; the important thing is that everything melts well and you get a smooth and silky cream.

A pinch of cinnamon goes a long way.

Mix a little cinnamon with the crushed cookies, but don't overdo it. Then, pour in the still-warm caramel mixture and mix well. The mixture should have a malleable consistency, not too runny and not too dry. If it's too soft, you can add a little more crushed cookie, and if it crumbles, a tablespoon of mascarpone cheese can help. Finally, refrigerate it so it firms up slightly and is easier to shape.

With moistened or lightly buttered hands, form bite-sized balls with the cooled mixture and then roll them in the toasted ground walnuts. That's it! It's best to refrigerate the balls for a while before serving, as the flavors meld better when they're cold and the texture is more pleasant.

Tip: If you want to make your sweets even more festive, you can fill them with white chocolate. To do this, let the melted white chocolate cool slightly, or prepare small amounts and then wrap it with the caramel dough as you shape it. You can also add hazelnut spread, almond spread, or even a thick hazelnut cream.
