Cut the butter into small pieces and melt it slightly in a warm oven or in the microwave until it reaches the consistency of "white chocolate".

Add salt and sugar to the butter and stir.

Next, add the egg and cream to the butter.

Mix all the ingredients well with a spatula.

Add the flour and begin kneading the dough with a spatula until the wet and dry parts of the dough begin to combine.

When the dough starts to form a ball, add the sprinkles and baking powder and continue kneading by hand. If necessary, add a little more flour (between 50 and 70 g) if the dough is sticky.

It's important to add the colored sprinkles just when you've almost finished mixing the dough, as they could start to dissolve in the liquid.

Knead until you have a smooth, fluffy ball of dough. Be careful not to add too much flour. Knead quickly to prevent the topping from dissolving and discoloring the dough, leaving only small flakes.

Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Shape each piece into a cylinder 5-6 cm thick. Wrap each cylinder in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Meanwhile, prepare sugar and more colored sprinkles for decorating.

Mix them in a bowl.

Take the sausage rolls out of the refrigerator. Cut them into 1-centimeter-thick pieces.

Dip each resulting cookie in the sugar and sprinkle with the mixture.

Place the cookies on a baking sheet (sugar side up). Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake until golden brown, approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Adjust baking time according to your oven.

The colorful sprinkle-covered cookies are ready! Transfer them from the baking sheet to a plate.
