London’s Hidden Society creates Bob Ross cocktail menu
Happy Accidents is a new art-led cocktail list from Hidden Society on London’s Goodge Street.
“We took the recurring elements of his landscapes and considered how each one might taste. Sky, Mountain, Forest, Lake, and Sunset are individual expressions, but together they create one complete scene.”
Happy Accidents is a new art-led cocktail list from Hidden Society on London’s Goodge Street.
The bar opened in March 2026 as part of on-trade group Nightcap.
Its programme puts art at its centre, with each menu inspired by individual works and exploring how their colour, texture and mood can translate into flavour.
American painter and television personality is the inspiration behind the newest menu, which comprises five drinks that make up one landscape.
Sky has Crystal Head Vodka and Fenjiu Baijiu as its base, combined with Suze, a chrysanthemum and honey cordial, and citrus soda to create a ‘light, floral and expansive’ cocktail.
Mountain, meanwhile, is described as ‘bright, crisp and textured’ and features Kay Sake, Ojo de Dios Mezcal, pine liqueur, Prosecco, and yuzu sorbet.
To represent the Forest, the Hidden Society team has combined Mijenta Reposado Tequila, Skinos Mastiha Liqueur, rosemary, ginger, and Dr Hostetter’s Bitter.
The Lake is a ‘calm, elegant and reflective’ serve that blends Crystal Head Vodka, Beesou Honey Aperitif, Edwards Elderflower Liqueur, chamomile, and orange bitters.
Sunset is evoked through Mijenta Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Spicy, Khoosh bitter liqueur, and citrus.
The collection builds on the bar’s creative ethos, translating the experience of a painting into something that can be tasted. Across five cocktails, Happy Accidents forms one imagined landscape – building gradually from Sky to Mountain, Forest, Lake, and finally Sunset.
Hidden Society’s general manager Mario Hernandez said: “Bob Ross showed that creativity doesn’t need to be rigid or perfect.
“We took the recurring elements of his landscapes and considered how each one might taste. Sky, Mountain, Forest, Lake, and Sunset are individual expressions, but together they create one complete scene.”
