Herb Salt

Herb Salt

A batch keeps for months, making it easy to have a flavorful seasoning ready when you need it.

Ingredients · Servings 250
  • ½ cup coarse sea salt
  • ½ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh rosemary
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
Method · 35 min
  1. Preheat oven to 200°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine ½ cup sea salt, ½ cup parsley, ¼ cup rosemary and 3 tablespoons sage in a food processor; process until the rosemary is completely incorporated and the salt is uniformly green, about 30 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides of the processor bowl as needed.
  3. Spread the mixture in a thin, even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until crumbly and dry with no damp spots remaining, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  4. Let cool completely on the baking sheet, about 10 minutes.

Just four ingredients come together to make a versatile seasoning with minimal prep.

You can easily swap in your favorite fresh herbs to create a custom blend that suits your taste.
