Carlo Cracco, cooking school in Milan. The renowned chef and TV personality isn't satisfied with his mega restaurant in the Galleria. And evidently, Carlo e Camilla in Segheria and the more recent Carlo e Camilla in Duomo (in what was for years the original location of the Michelin-starred restaurant). It seems Carlo Cracco is planning to open a cooking school in the center of Milan. This idea is fueled by a municipal tender that, having failed the first time, may this time be awarded to the Maestro Martino Cultural Association, presided over by the Venetian chef himself.

Cracco in Milan: a cooking school in a city hall?

A year ago, Palazzo Marino issued a call for tenders to lease its property located at Piazzale Cantore 10. No offers were received at the time. After leaving the municipality of Abbiategrasso amidst considerable controversy, the Mastro Martino Cultural Association, chaired by Cracco, has now submitted an expression of interest to the municipal administration. The objective: to acquire a portion of the property and convert it into a high-profile cooking school. This involves a significant portion of the entire property: 1,369 square meters out of a total space of 3,318 square meters. That portion of the building is being offered for rent by the municipality for €200,000 per year. This significant sum is coupled with an obligation for the concessionaire to undertake renovations to the spaces. The relevant department estimates this cost at approximately €2 million. There are still a series of bureaucratic steps to overcome before the assignment, in the absence of other proposals, is successful: will Cracco succeed in this umpteenth pharaonic operation?
