Jasmine's brings Italian-inspired cuisine to Henley Beach in Adelaide

Chahoud Group has opened Jasmine's in Henley Beach, Adelaide, with an Italian-inspired menu and coastal views.

“We named the venue after the flower because of its meaning, which is warm hospitality, as that’s exactly what we hope people will experience during each visit,”

Jared Chahoud, CEO of the Chahoud Group, says the restaurant welcomes everyone, from those arriving in shorts and flip-flops after a day at the beach to those dressed in formal attire for a leisurely lunch or dinner. The name comes from the flower, reflecting its meaning: the warm hospitality the team hopes customers will experience on every visit.

Melbourne chef Jimmy Garside (Julietta, Mamasita) has joined the team to create the menu, which is Italian-inspired with a "Mediterranean flair".

To start, there are small plates like wood-fired flatbread, burrata, and raw tuna. Then comes the grilled section, with grilled prawns served with nduja butter and lemon, steak with baharat and cippolini onions, and tomahawk pork chop with sweet and sour sauce and kale.

The menu also includes several pasta dishes, among them a Wagyu beef and ox cheek ragu, roast chicken moghrabieh, and cacio e pepe. The thick-crust pizza features toppings such as calabrese sausage, prawns, and mortadella with pistachios on a white sauce base, and all are available for takeout. For dessert, Jasmine's signature chocolate mousse is served tableside from a mobile dessert cart.

The venue, which seats 130, is located at the top of a staircase and features spacious marble tables and benches. The surrounding terrace overlooks the coast, and there you can order signature cocktails from co-owner Manoel Eskanian, such as the Jasmine's Negroni or the Ibisco Limoncello Spritz.

Jasmine's is open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and for lunch from Friday to Sunday. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
