Casa Vidaschi in Rome: Monteverde's bistro with a rose garden

Casa Vidaschi is Monteverde's bistro with multiple spaces for every moment of the day. It now boasts a new chef, a revamped menu, and personalized events, including romantic dinners in its rose garden.

Casa Vidaschi, on Via Lorenzo Vidaschi, run by Simone Pellegrino and Mariangela Pagone, is preparing to celebrate its second anniversary with a new format. It will remain open all day, allowing customers to enjoy its indoor and outdoor spaces at any time.

Among the notable innovations is the arrival of chef Alessio Pittacci, with experience in South America and Rome, who brings a cuisine based on express service (many dishes are not on the menu each day) with a focus on appetizers. Today's menu features raw fish and Asian dishes: ceviche with Nikkei sauce, sea bass with homemade tiger's milk, grilled octopus in teriyaki sauce, maltagliati soup with chickpeas, and baby octopus with honey. Also on offer are fusillone all'amatriciana and fettuccine with lamb ragu. On weekends, brunch and live music on Sundays further enhance the experience.

The dessert menu is varied: in the morning, sourdough pastries, croissants freshly filled with chocolate, cream and cherry jam, pancakes, tarts and sponge cakes. In the afternoon, desserts to complete the meal.

The versatility of its spaces sets Casa Vidaschi apart. The Patio is a verdant space with colorful seating, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a light snack. The Veranda is ideal for any time of day, leading to the Salotto, the heart of the restaurant with its spacious open kitchen. The Pergolato is a lounge for aperitifs and drinks. The Corte features tables made from natural tree roots for al fresco lunch or dinner. The Roseto, a more intimate space, is perfect for private events and special occasions, with exclusive service.

This versatility has convinced Pellegrino and Pagone to personalize events: birthdays, receptions, and corporate dinners. They also offer a flower shop where you can buy fresh and preserved floral arrangements and potted plants, and where monthly masterclasses are held during aperitif time. Contact: 334 247 1016.
