It was 1977 when Achille Gaggia, after extensive experimentation, fulfilled his dream of bringing espresso with natural crema to homes around the world by launching the first industrially produced home machine: the iconic Baby Gaggia. Forty-five years have passed since then, and the company continues to live by its motto: "Tradition in constant evolution," launching ever-innovative products that allow for a tailor-made coffee experience.
How do you like your coffee?
Gaggia's latest innovation is called Accademia and is a super-automatic espresso machine, with superior performance, designed and manufactured in Italy, with premium materials and an elegant design, featuring a black glass front panel, a painted steel body, with stainless steel details and finishes.
With the Gaggia Accademia, you can prepare 19 preset beverages, from traditional ristretto to espresso, from caffè lungo to cappuccino, from macchiato to americano, from cortado to café au lait, along with many other traditional Italian and international specialties. These can be customized, transforming the pleasure of coffee at home into a tailor-made experience, tailored to your personal tastes. Thanks to the 5-inch full-color display, backlit buttons, and rotary knobs with enhanced tactile sensitivity, navigating and selecting the various functions is highly intuitive. Simply select your favorite beverage with the knob or via the touchscreen to access its customization screen, where you can increase or decrease the temperature, the amount of water, milk, or coffee, and set the amount of ground coffee per brewing, its strength, and its aroma. Finally, for milk-based beverages, you can also adjust the level of milk froth dispensed from the integrated carafe. Alternatively, the machine is equipped with a professional stainless steel steam wand to froth milk like a real barista at home, achieving a velvety consistency and the smoothest creaminess, and to try your hand at making perfect cappuccinos with latte art decorations.
But the pleasure doesn't end with making coffee: Accademia is also quick and easy to clean, thanks to the various programs available, such as Quick and Deep Clean, for cleaning the carafe and milk circuit, descaling and the brew group cleaning cycle, or Steam Hygiene and the Purge on demand function, for thorough steam sanitization of the integrated carafe or steam wand.
A dedicated website was created to launch the Accademia, explaining all the machine's features, while new content is constantly being published on the company's Facebook and Instagram pages. There's even a film that chronicles Gaggia's extraordinary journey from Milan to the homes of coffee lovers everywhere. An ever-evolving tradition.
