Craving for bubbles

The latest trends in the world of wine? Sparkling and rosé wines, ideal for enjoying throughout a meal or as an aperitif, pairing with beloved foods, from traditional Italian recipes to sushi.

Pale pink in color with bright highlights, it opens with notes of rose and wisteria, followed by subtle aromas of small red fruits and hints of summer undergrowth. On the palate, it is seductive and enveloping, with constant hints of candied red fruits.

Ideal as an aperitif, paired with seafood finger foods, a platter of fresh cheeses and cured meats, or salmon canapés, it's also excellent with shellfish and pasta dishes with fish and vegetables. An added bonus? Use it to add a touch of originality to your cocktails: for example, it adds a drier note to the Cosmopolitan, perfect for a refreshing aperitif.

The right bottle for every moment

To expand its range of rosé sparkling wines, Rocca dei Forti recently launched its new Brut Rosé, a delightful and high-quality product. Its smooth flavor is well-rounded by acidity, giving it freshness and length. Recommended with mushroom risotto or fried foods, it also pairs beautifully with lobster linguine served over creamed avocado or with seared prawns in crispy bacon. Rocca dei Forti doesn't just offer rosés: its extensive and diverse collection of 18 sparkling wines is the result of a careful selection of the finest Italian grape varieties, such as Ribolla, Verdicchio, Passerina, Moscato, and Riesling.

Ribolla, characterized by citrus and delicately mentholated notes, pairs well with vegetable-based first courses, roasted fish, seafood salads, and white meats, while Riesling, with its aromas of acacia, white peach, and tropical fruits, is ideal for fish dishes, vegetarian recipes, and ethnic cuisine.

Verdicchio, with its unmistakable aromas of flowers, yellow fruit, and toasted almonds, is perfect with aged cheeses, white meats, and particularly flavorful fish, such as cod and stockfish.

Smooth, intense, and fruity, Passerina is the perfect bottle for aperitifs with finger food, delicate fish crudités, and medium-intensity cheeses.

Finally, Moscato and Asti DOCG pair well with desserts, cream or fruit tarts, and fruit salads, to round off a meal in style.
