Salted pineapple? Yes! This meatless version of the classic Thai dish ma hor is a great appetizer for drinks.

Ingredients · Servings For 15 pieces
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 8 pcs shallots
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 piece pineapple
  • 1 lime
  • 1 piece chili pepper
  • 1 tbsp peanuts
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
Method · 30 min
  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the shallots until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Reduce the heat and add the peanut butter, sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Leave to cool.
  2. Arrange the pineapple slices on a plate and top each piece with a heaping teaspoon of the mixture. Drizzle with lime juice, top with chili pepper, a pinch of peanuts and a coriander leaf. Recipe and photos taken from Olive Magazine.
