- Peel and finely chop the onion. Dice the bacon. Peel and dice the potatoes. Peel and crush the garlic.
- In a pot, fry the onion and bacon in hot lard until golden brown.

- Add the chopped potatoes to the goulash, season with salt and cook for about 20 minutes until the potatoes are soft.
