Margaval celebrates organic farming with a vineyard-to-table experience
The experience begins with a visit to the vineyard aboard a jeep, allowing participants to learn about the minimal intervention production model and the practices associated with organic farming.
The route ends at the Margaval wine tourism area, located in the old hayloft of Grandpa Zé, a figure who was at the origin of the project's history. The place, now associated with the "Adega da Gaveta" winery, hosts traditional lunches or dinners, with a highlight being the lamb slowly cooked in a clay pot, followed by typical regional sweets.
Celebrated annually on September 23rd, the European Day of Organic Agriculture was created by the European Union to promote more sustainable agricultural practices, the protection of biodiversity, and the consumption of organic products.
Lasting approximately four hours and accommodating up to 30 people, the "Vinha à Mesa" experience can be booked on the Margaval website.
