La carroza de La Cava-Fardachón gana el concurso del desfile de San Mateo en Logroño
The La Cava-Fardachón Residents' Association has won first prize in the float competition of the San Mateo parade in Logroño, held this Sunday morning on the occasion of the San Mateo festivities and the 69th Rioja Wine Harvest.
The float from La Cava-Fardachón received a prize of 1,500 euros. The second prize, worth 1,000 euros, went to the Peña Rondalosa, while the third prize, with 500 euros, was awarded to the float from the Haro City Council.
The parade began at 11:30 a.m. and drew a large crowd along its route. This year, the celebration returned to its morning schedule as part of the San Mateo festival program.

The procession began its route on Solidaridad Avenue, at the corner of Marqués de la Ensenada, and continued along Vara de Rey, Muro del Carmen, Muro de Cervantes, Avenida de la Paz and Doce Ligero.
This year's parade brought together 26 groups and floats, including local groups and participants from other places, such as the Rebulir Dance Group from Ourense, and the Pauliteros Group from Sendim, Portugal.

The jury for the float competition consisted of the Councillor for Festivities, a councillor from the opposition, a representative from the Higher School of Design of La Rioja, a member of the Press Association of La Rioja, a member of the College of Decorators and a member of the municipal Festivities area.
With this parade, Logroño continues with the program of the San Mateo festivities and the 69th Rioja Wine Harvest, which this year have again incorporated the morning format for this event.
