It shouldn't be confused with the numerous sweet Vinho Verde wines on the market, which some love and others prefer to avoid. The classic profile of the appellation, a dry, bright, and refreshing white wine, is ideal for pairing with fresh food.

Gorro Atlântico Vinho Verde Loureiro is expressive, with the classic characteristics of the Loureiro grape: citrus and floral notes on the nose and vibrant acidity on the palate. It comes from the Lima Valley, a subregion where many believe this grape originated. Located 5 km from the ocean, the wine evokes the coast with notes of lemon, grapefruit, and flowers, balanced by saline and mineral flavors.

The grapes were hand-harvested and their must was kept refrigerated after pressing. During fermentation, the pure flavors and vibrant acidity of the grapes were preserved. The wine was then aged on its lees for five months, which gives it a rich, textured mouthfeel.

Portugal Boutique Winery focuses on small-production wines from iconic regions of the country. The winery began with wines from the Douro Valley, then expanded to sparkling wines from Bairrada, and the Gorro family expresses Vinho Verde with grapes grown in emblematic valleys of the Minho region. Their aim is to preserve and share Portugal's winemaking heritage.

It pairs perfectly with grilled seafood, oysters, sushi and other dishes with citrus notes, such as clams with garlic and lemon or Greek-inspired dishes with citrusy tzatziki yogurt sauce.
