La Belle Équipe reopens in Brussels with the cuisine of Théo Léonard
The Nightshop duo, Jens Crabbe and Jocasta Allwood, are bringing back the name La Belle Équipe to an intimate and elegant venue, with dishes by Théo Léonard.
La Belle Équipe is back in business under the management of the Nightshop duo, Jens Crabbe, also behind Mok, and Jocasta Allwood, and has reclaimed the name of the former pizzeria. In the kitchen, Théo Léonard, who honed his skills at Nightshop, presents a menu of perfectly cooked dishes and intensely flavored sauces.
The restaurant is intimate and elegant: candles abound, there's a canvas by Bieke Buckinx, and stainless steel and marble sit side by side. Thomas Boogaerts, formerly of Couvert Couvert and Quartz, is also part of the project.
The dinner included crispy bluefin tuna toasts with smoked chili mayonnaise and basil blossoms, a lobster salad with infused tomato water and red berries, and a lamb loin cooked two ways, with harissa and candied peppers.
Dishes to share cost between 12 and 35 euros, and desserts between 9 and 12 euros. It's advisable to plan for two to three dishes per person.
