Barley Swine, Odd Duck's more elegant sister restaurant, offers a prix-fixe menu in South Lamar with additional à la carte options. If the shiitake dumplings are available, they're worth ordering. It has table service both inside and on the terrace.

At Bufalina Due, a pizzeria and wine restaurant, there's a daily happy hour from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Neapolitan pizzas can be shared with wine at any time, and pasta is only served at dinner. Takeaway is available online, and there's table service inside and on the terrace.

Aristocrat, formerly known as Poodle Dog Lounge, serves draft cocktails and cold beers, accompanied by Indonesian cuisine from the Yeni's Fusion food truck. The bubur ayam (chicken porridge) is a must-try, and you can dine in an intimate private room or on the comfortable back terrace.

Asahi Imports, on Burnet Road, is best known as a Japanese grocery store and market, but it also offers fresh onigiri, bento boxes, and light meals. Meanwhile, Nido de Mono café offers organic coffee, homemade cakes, quiches, tacos, and empanadas, a perfect stop to start your day.

Stiles Switch is a smokehouse restaurant ideal for good barbecue without long lines. Among its classics are the ribeye steaks and the cheesy potato casserole, and on Wednesdays there's a ribeye steak special.
